If you start at sunrise, and stay out until sunset, while driving the scenic road more than once, you are treated to the changing light and moods of this magnificent red rock country. In this painting, I let the cliff run off the page to help create the sense of the towering cliffs of Rain God Mesa. I have also painted a miniature version of this scene.
